Vaibhav Suryavanshi, born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Samastipur, Bihar, is quickly rising as one of India's most promising young cricketers. A left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he represents Bihar in domestic cricket and has made his mark with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Vaibhav picked up a cricket bat at the tender age of four, inspired and coached by his father. By nine, he had joined a professional cricket academy in Samastipur to enhance his skills. As his passion grew, he began training under former Ranji Trophy player Manish Ojha, who played a major role in shaping his technique and mindset for competitive cricket.
At just 12, Vaibhav impressed everyone by scoring 400 runs across five matches in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. This brilliant run helped him secure a place in Bihar’s Ranji Trophy squad. He made his first-class debut in January 2024 at only 12 years and 284 days old, making him one of the youngest players to feature in the prestigious Ranji Trophy.
